All levels of quilters are welcome at Allamanda, and club members are willing to answer questions from beginners. This is an informal group that likes to get together to work on whatever projects members have going on at the time.
The group holds an annual retreat and organizes several technique-related workshops throughout the year, as well as shop hops when the meeting space is being used as a voting precinct!
Time is set aside on the second Tuesday of every month for a business meeting and show-and-tell of recently completed projects.
2012 dues is $15; every chapter member is automatically a member of the Quilting Guild of The Villages which usually meets at 7:00 p.m., the first Tuesday of every month at Laurel Manor Recreation Center. Membership is open (capacity 80).
