2011 Showcase of Quilts - (January 28-29, 2011) Please continue thinking of unique items that can be made and sold at the boutique to earn money for our chapter.
Old Business:
1. Quilt Retreat - February 15-17, 2011 - Please see Jo Loder if you have questions or are interested in signing up!
2. Members were reminded to continue to save their scraps of fabric as they sew. Any size is acceptable. The scraps will be used with the boutique projects we'll be creating later in the year.
3. The Shop Hop Passport that was donated by Wanda Pierce was raffled off at the June 22nd meeting. Linnea Knauer won the passport. The raffle generated $17 for our treasury.
4. Cathy Barlow indicated that one of the members who had an email address that came back as "undeliverable," returned a phone call to correct her email address. The other 2 members have not responded to messages, so their email addresses have been removed on the current version of the roster.
5. Members were reminded that August 24th is a [primary] voting day, and the room we use for our meetings will be in use as a precinct. There will be no meeting that day. We will be going on a shop hop. Details regarding the shop hop will be sent out in a future email.
New Business:
There was no new business to report.
Several beautiful items were shared with the group during the show-and-tell time. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the creativity of our members!
Jo Loder moved to adjourn the meeting, and the motion was seconded by B.J. Herter. The meeting was adjourned at 1:28 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Cathy Barlow
